Case Study:
Video-based eLearning course developed using
2D animation and AI voice-over—First Aid Training
Client
A leading Adult education training centre based in Australia.
Challenges
The Australian client required video-based content tailored for adult learners across a wide age range. While elderly learners preferred self-paced video courses that were simple and easy to follow, younger learners expected more fast-paced and engaging eLearning content.
Our instructional designers were given limited reference material, mostly in the form of web pages, with very minimal input from the client. Despite this, the content had to be detailed and comprehensive, and the turnaround time (TAT) was extremely tight.
Solution

Once the instructional design (ID) was approved, highly engaging 2D animated courses were developed—starting from detailed storyboards to 2D animation and final video editing. These courses were created using professional animation software, such as the Adobe suite. The authoring and assessments were completed using Articulate Storyline.
We suggested a fully 2D animated video course in the form of micro-courses. The entire learning content was structured into multiple modules, each containing several lessons. The modules were designed to suit different age groups.

Result
-
The 2D animated video-based courses were a first of their kind for the client. Adult learners across all age groups thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
-
The animated format provided much-needed engagement and made the content easier to understand. Complex training topics were transformed into scenario-based lessons, which improved comprehension.
-
The final modules were delivered as SCORM packages, complete with assessments and quizzes.
-
The tight deadline was met thanks to our highly skilled in-house media development team and a dedicated project manager.
