Challenges
The content was highly technical, and the institute had traditionally relied on legacy training methods, where instructors conducted sessions in a conventional classroom setting using blackboards. Due to the technical nature of the subjects, learners needed to see the components firsthand, and most topics required teacher-led explanations. A standard eLearning approach was not suitable in this case because the material was extensive, required instructor guidance, and involved physical components that needed to be demonstrated in a classroom environment.
Solution
The solution was VILT – Virtual instructor led training. A green screen instructed led training video. The green screen was replaced with important bullet points depending upon the topics. The technical parts of the syllabus was shown using a well made Hight definition 2D and 3D animations. The animated modules gave the learners much need clarity even better than the live instructor classes because now the learners could see animations of the working of the components along with the dissected parts.
